Since the "Three-Year Sino-Israeli Innovation Cooperation" started one year ago, both parties use their own advantages to cooperate in the fields of science and technology, education, culture, and sanitation, and have achieved initial result. In March 2016, Vice Premier Liu Yandong especially mentioned GTIIT as the first Sino-Israeli cooperatively-run institution in Shantou in the 1st Sino-Israeli President Forum Opening Ceremony and the 2nd Sino-Israeli Innovation Cooperation Joint Committee in Jerusalem, Israel. Her positive message has drawn wide attention.
According to the Xinhua News Agency, Vice Premier Liu Yandong addressed in the Opening Ceremony of the 1st Sino-Israeli President Forum that this was the highlight of Sino-Israeli cooperation innovation and gave full affirmation to the advance of GTIIT construction. Liu pointed out that, last year, the preparation of the first Sino-Israeli cooperatively-run institution's formal establishment went well. She believes that more goodwill messengers will join the team of Sino-Israeli innovation cooperation and cultural exchange. Liu also suggested to expand the space for innovation cooperation and hoped to enhance the height of strategic docking. These will motivate the development integration of experience and technology between the "Innovation Nation" Israel and China, and thus create more cooperation in the future.
