On May 7, "Reform of the Supply Side to Promote Educational Equity Summit Forum" was held in East China Normal University in Shanghai. President of Sun Yefang Foundation, Chancellor of GTIIT (Prep.) Li Jiange gave a speech on educationalequity and social donation. This is his first presence as chancellor in the educational summit forum.?
Li Jiange talked about that,from an economic perspective, educational equity was mainly relied on government, but cannot be limited to it. If all responsibility is put on the government, infinite increasing of finance and tax will become a social burden.?
Li suggested that social donation should be encouraged to reform our educational system. First, educational system should be internationalized, especially in school management, teaching materials, and staff recruitment. Second, transparency. It is important for donors to know how money is spent. Third, help donors gain a sense of achievement and honor instead of feeling being cheated or frustrated.
