On December 18-20, 2015, a conference titled "A comparative study of entrepreneurship and innovation activities in Chao-Shan and Israel" took place at Shantou University, with its focus on the innovation of academic research and the development of entrepreneurship.
The conference introduced the culture of innovation in China and Israel. It included four main sessions:
1, Entrepreneurial and Innovation activities in Chao-Shan.
2, Innovation and culture.
3, Innovation education in Israel.
4, Entrepreneurial activities and innovation in China.
Conference participants had heated discussion on the issue of entrepreneurship and innovation activities in Chao-Shan and Israel, which has enhanced mutual understanding and laid foundation for future cooperation and development between Chao-Shan and Israel.
Keynote Speakers included Prof. Gu Peihua (Provost of Shantou University), Prof Yuan Lu (Dean of Shantou University Business School), Prof. Avishai Mandelbaum (Dean of Industrial Engineering and Management faculty from the Technion) and Prof Wang Chongming (Vice President of Zhejiang University).?Other conference participants included Pro. Paul?Feigin (Vice President of Technion), Yehuda?Assaraf （Dean of Biology）, Pro. Moshe Marom (Director General of GTIIT), Pro. Lin Danming (Vice President of Shantou University), and renowned scholars from Tsinghua University, Renmin University of China, and Victoria University of Canada.?
