The 2017 admission and selection process of GTIIT ended on July 27. In total, 222 students from 12 provinces are accepted, among whom 150 are boys and 72 are girls. As to the program allocation, 76 are accepted to Chemical Engineering, 71 to Biotechnology and Food Engineering and the other 75 to Materials Engineering.?

Merit-based principle was adopted when GTIIT was making decisions on selection, which was to ensure that all students accepted for the first year are among the tops. Freshmen all passed the threshold for English and got a Gaokao score higher than the cut-off line in their provinces. Many students graduated from top high schools. For instance, in Guangdong where 151 were accepted, many are graduates of famous schools like Shantou Jinshan High School, Chaoyan Experimental School, Shantou Yuhuai High School, Shantou No.1 High School, Guangdong Experimental High School, Guangzhou Zhixin High School, Guangdong Guangya High School, Guangzhou No.2 High School, Sun Yat-sen Memorial High School, Foshan No.1 High School, Dongguan High School and Shenzhen Foreign Languages School, etc. With the recruitment experience of the first year, we will be able to adjust our plans and criteria for the future and attract more excellent students to GTIIT.

Among the freshmen, 50% will be awarded a scholarship and relevant information is enclosed with the Acceptance Letter. As the Acceptance Letter for students out of Guangdong were sent out today (July 28), here also comes the end of the 2017 admission process of GTIIT.
