On Dec. 16th, 2015，honorable guests from China and Israel together closed a time capsule containing GTIIT Chronicle and initial pictures at the Cornerstone Laying Ceremony of GTIIT. Symbolizing the common expectation for GTIIT from the guests and the society, the time capsule had witnessed the initial stage of GTIIT.

Now in December 2017, the seed of hope contained in the time capsule has sprouted and grew - The Ministry of Education approved the formal establishment of GTIIT. The North Campus has been fully put into service, and 216 students from 12 provinces were enrolled.

As the representative of Sino-Israel cooperation in education and technology, GTIIT will launch the "Series Activities of Sino-Israel Education and Technology Cooperation" from Dec. 17th to 20th.
?
Technion students will be invited as well. They will have a close interaction will GTIIT students on a series of activities, such as basketball match, welcome party, etc. To have a better picture of Chaoshan culture, Technion students will take part in an one-day tour in Shantou and Chaozhou organized by GTIIT.

The Series Activities also include academic seminars, lectures and other activities aiming to promote exchanges on education, technology and culture between teachers and students from Technion and GTIIT.
