On the afternoon of Dec. 23, over 30 students from Shantou Yuhuai High School visited GTIIT and had their EAP (English for Academic Purpose) course here.

As students who visited GTIIT all participated in the EAP courses, the Admissions Office specially invited Prof. Gloria Sheintuch and Prof. Ruben Smit to give a lecture about English learning to the young visitors. The two professors noted that creating English environment for yourself and use English more were the key to successful English learning. Their explanation and humorous presentation impressed the students a lot and won rounds of applaud. Besides the short lectures, Chen Han from Materials Engineering and Xu Ran from Biotechnology and Food Engineering also shared their experience on English learning and presented what they learned in GTIIT to the attendees. In the Q&A session, many good questions were raised by the students, making the lecture pretty lively.

In addition to the lecture, Yuhuai students also watched the exhibition of ¡°The Birth of GTIIT¡± and ¡°Technion Wisdom¡±. Led by the staff of the Admissions Office, students had a short campus tour and took a closer look at the student dorm and study room. The young visitors were all amazed by the cozy rooms and nice campus environment.
