A Hong Kong STEM Education Delegation of over 20 members visited GTIIT on the morning of Jan. 24th. Members of the delegation were principals and directors from 13 middle schools in Hong Kong. To better know about GTIIT, the guests were invited to a presentation about the university and its admission policy. Directors of the Admissions Office, the Department of Students Affairs as well as the Department of News & Public Affairs attended the event to introduce GTIIT and exchange opinions with the visitors.

During the presentation, Feng Xinglei, Pro-Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs, expressed his warm welcome to the guests. Zeng Rui, Director of Admissions Office presented the development of GTIIT and admission criteria for Hong Kong students. According to Zeng Rui, GTIIT will recruit Hong Kong students through Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) in the future. This message interested the delegation and brought in a discussion among the audience. The colorful campus life of GTIIT was also presented to the guests by Yang Hongqing, Director of Student Affairs.





Afterwards, visitors were invited to have a campus tour and take a closer look at students' dorms, activity areas and gyms etc. They were also shown to the exhibition of Technion Wisdom and the exhibition of the Birth of GTIIT. Some GTIIT foreign faculty members talked with the delegation during the visit and the teaching modes, teaching resources and levels of students were highly recognized by the guests. Visitors were also impressed by the campus environment and living conditions of GTIIT. Members of the delegation expressed wishes to strengthen the cooperation between GTIIT and Hong Kong education industry.



Members of the Hong Kong STEM Education Delegation came from Pui Ching Middle School, Lok Sin Tong Yu Kan Hing Secondary School, CCC Tam Lee Lai Fun Memorial Secondary School, Tang Ying Hei College, Heung To Middle School (Tin Shui Wai), Sha Tin Methodist College, Po On Commercial Association Wong Siu Ching Secondary School, China Holiness College, Cumberland Presbyterian Church Yao Dao Secondary School, Society of Boys' Centres Shing Tak Centre School, HKSYC&IA Chan Nam Chong Memorial College, Yan Oi Tong Chan Wong Suk Fong Memorial Secondary School and Wong Shiu Chi Secondary School.

The activity was hosted by the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in Hong Kong S.A.R. and Shantou Hong Kong & Macao Affairs Bureau.
