2018 Conference on Analyzing 1st?Shantou Simulated Exam for Gaokao was held in GTIIT ?Auditorium on Mar. 21^st. Hu Dong, Director of Shantou Education Bureau; Chen Yibin and Wang Jianbo, Deputy Directors of Shantou Education Bureau, leaders from district education bureau; Lin Danming, Vice-president of Shantou University; Eliezer Shalev, GTIIT Pro-Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs; Yigal Cohen, GTIIT Pro-Vice Chancellor and Director General and representative teachers from 94 high schools, 400 people in total, attended the conference.

"Thank Shantou for its full support to GTIIT. " said Eliezer Shalev, ?because 72 students out of 216 GTIIT firse cohort students are from Shantou. Shalev said that GTIIT would try its best to live up to the expectation and cultivate best talents for Shantou and even China.

At the conference, leaders from Shantou Education Bureau and Teaching and Researching Office discussed about the 1st?Shantou Simulated Exam for Gaokao and gave guidelines for helping students to prepare Gaokao.

Representatives from STU Admissions Office and GTIIT Admissions Office introduced the two universities respectively.?

GTIIT would continue to launch three undergraduate programs in 2018 ¨C Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology and Food Engineering and Material Science and Engineering. 280 students will be enrolled, 150 of which will be recruited in Guangdong province. Moreover, GTIIT will take in students from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan this year.
